I absolutely love these Radio Times retro-Who posters. |
This is also a pretty comedic episode.
The whole thing is rather fun.
Can't I just enjoy this moment of not knowing? |

The real lack of creepiness may stem from the fact that the villains transition. They transition from actually creepy to meh-tastic zombies. They were far creepier in the early part of the episode than they were at the end.

But let us get back to the reversal of roles. In this epsiode Clara comes to understand the dower attitude of Capaldi's Doctor. This is the episode of realization. Since she has taken on his role, in several cases she actually even uses his lines.

The Doctor does not really take on the role of a companion, he is more or less a mentor. I'm wondering if this is actually a sign of things to come. Why? Well, we link back up with the creepy Missy, the lady of the afterlife. Of course she has something to do with Clara. What exactly? Well, we'll have to wait and see.
We're obviously moving into the end run of the season. I expect to see Madam Vastra, Jenny, and Strax again for we're done. I also expect Mr. Pink to take at least 1 ride on the Tardis. I hope I'm right...
I really want to sing the Adams Family theme song, but I won't. |
