Extra History [Youtube Review]

This is a first. I'm reviewing a Youtube channel.
I hope you have heard of Extra Credits, an awesome channel that reviews games, highlights obscure games, and more.

The Punic Wars, a four part mini series. (LINK)
This will be a rather short review. However it is about something I really really enjoy. I've gained knowledge and been absolutely entertained by these Extra History episodes.

5 out of 5 stars

The first series was about the Punic Wars, and it was sponsored by Creative Assembly, the people who made Total War: Rome II. Without them, we would have this awesome series. Without them I would not have learned as much as I did about a very important part of history that amazingly my many history courses never covered in even minimal detail. The link is in the image. My advice, go watch it, but do it after you finish reading this review.

What you know about WWI is probably just a taste.
The second set of videos has just begun and it is covering World War I. Holy crap have I learned. Now of course my history courses covered WWI, the Great War, the Great Tragedy... it is impossible to not. However the amount of detail, the importance of it, never seemed to be conveyed as effectively as this short video series does. Watch the videos about the Seminal Tragedy: World War I. If I were a history teacher, I would contact EC and ask them, seriously, if I could use their videos in a classroom. If not that then I would at least assign them as home work.

I cannot heap enough praise on the work done by Extra Credits. Watch them. Await the new ones... you will not regret it.
