Final Episode of Top Gear [TV Review]

As you may well know, not too long ago, the good folks at the BBC let Jeremy Clarkson go over a fracas he had with a producer. I'm not going to talk about that at all in this review. This review is for what I consider to be the Final Episode of Top Gear.

I, Claudius [TV Classics Review]

I'm just going to paraphrase the back of the DVD as a quick introduction. I, Claudius is one of the '100 best television shows of all time,' at least according to Time Magazine. This is the true definition of an epic, and it is coupled with a cast of utterly amazing actors.

No, I'm quite serious. I love watching the Doctor Who Christmas specials.
This year the special would include Nick Frost... as Santa. Best Santa casting. Ever.

Doctor Who series 8 - In the Forests of the Night (episode 10) [TV Review]

I knew I heard the episode title elsewhere. I knew it, but could not place it. However a cursory internet search turned up a poem by William Blake in 1794.

"Tyger! Tyger! burning bright

What immortal hand or eye

Doctor Who series 8 - Flatline (episode 9) [TV Review]

I absolutely love these Radio Times retro-Who posters.

This is a very Clara centric episode.
This is also a pretty comedic episode.
The whole thing is rather fun.

Doctor Who series 8 - Mummy on the Orient Express (episode 8) [TV Review]

Again, a wonderful poster from The Radio Times.

This episode was not what I was expecting. Not at all. I was expecting an episode closer to Turn Left or Midnight from back in the David Tennant years. You know, the Doctor solo / Companion solo episodes.

I am of two minds with this weeks Doctor Who episode. And, yes, I do realize that my update is late again. It happens, I try to keep to a schedule but that is not always possible. I do at least get 3 updates a week out.

The title of this episode made me wary. It is just too cliche, which I know might be a taboo thing to say about Doctor Who, but it really is. This is a sad fact since this is certainly a very good episode.

Red Dwarf - Back to Earth (The Director's Cut) [DVD Review]

I consider Red Dwarf to be one of the best comedy series to ever grace the television. It's British, so if you appreciate the likes of Monty Python or Are You Being Served, it's worth looking into. The bonus is it's science fiction as well. So why did it take me so long to get around to watching Back to Earth?

It's that time of year again! The most widely watched factual programme (not joking) in the world, the BBC's premiere motoring show, hosted by a hamster, a gorilla, and the world's slowest man is back. Yes, that is right! James May's Man Lab - Series 1 [BBC Review]

I first discovered James May's Man Lab back in 2011, a little before the second series aired in the UK. I simply watched it because the titular host was James May from Top Gear, and I really like Top Gear. Man Lab has a total of three series covering thirteen episodes, and hopefully there will be more.
