I liked Beyond Earth well enough when I first got it. However I will admit that unlike Civ V, my interest waned quicker than expected. Each leader in Civ V presents a very unique play style. I did not feel the leaders in Beyond Earth were as unique.

The Martian [Movie Review]
Third review in a week. It's almost like I'm back on schedule. I'm not, but its a nice feeling. Anyways, I have another review this week. It is for a movie that I've been waiting for...

CHAPPiE [Movie Review]
Last Friday I took my usual trip to the theater and ventured into the dark cavernous depths to see a film. The theater has decided, in its extremely limited wisdom, to replace two rows of seats with special new vibrating chairs. They will also charge you at extra $8 to sit in those chairs... and I assume that those stupid chairs are also responsible for my normal ticket prices going up.

The Imitation Game [Movie Review]
I have been waiting for this movie for a very long time. I do not know where I first heard of the movie, but I had been anticipating it for a while. I first thought it was coming out in late November, and a Daily Show clip confirmed that.

Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth [PC Game]
I assume that a good majority of people reading this have played Civ V. Now, I could be wrong but I imagine that most people picking up the science fiction centered Beyond Earth would have played the predecessor game.

Interstellar [Movie Review]
I consider this movie to be the spiritual successor to 2001: A Space Odyssey. However the parallels are not that great nor are they heavy handed. In essence, Christopher Nolan (director of the most recent Batman Trilogy) has crafted an epic science movie. So epic that I was actually getting worried over the hyper about the film. Over-hyped movies have a tendency to let one down.

Robotics;Notes [Anime Review]
Before I watched this series, I had no idea that it was done by the same studio that produced Steins;Gate. Although now that I look at the title... it is a pattern.

Transcendence [Movie Review]
First let me apologize for no blog update on Wednesday. I cut my finger, right across the tip, and it is very painful to type. It still hurts right now, but I must review this movie. It is not very often I feel like yelling at a film in the theater. I really really wanted to... very very much.

Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey [TV Review]
"The Cosmos is all that is, or ever was, or ever will be." - Carl Sagan
I had been looking forward to the re-imagining of Cosmos since I first heard the rumors of it back in 2009 or 2010 or 2011. I love the original Cosmos, I've seen it many times, been inspired by it, and learned from it. Carl Sagan is a personal hero of mine.
