Girls und Panzer [Anime Review]

I had to get this an watch it. The premise is so weird that it just screamed 'Watch Me!'
Who am I to ignore such a weird anime?
The tanks are absolutely gorgeous.
I'll tell you who I am. I am a person who does not ignore the weird anime... well at least not most of them. So of course I picked up Girls und Panzer.

Red Dwarf - Back to Earth (The Director's Cut) [DVD Review]

I consider Red Dwarf to be one of the best comedy series to ever grace the television. It's British, so if you appreciate the likes of Monty Python or Are You Being Served, it's worth looking into. The bonus is it's science fiction as well. So why did it take me so long to get around to watching Back to Earth?

Helix - The Reaping (Ep.12) [TV Review]

Welcome back to the weekly Friday review of Syfy's Helix. This week, I'm back to doing a more normal review, ie: I've watched the whole episode before reviewing it.
Normal.

Simoun [Anime Review]

Simoun was a very different anime from a lot of what I've watched before. I've never watched a yuri series before. I have know for a long time about yuri and yaoi, but have never before seen a series dedicated to either genre. That was until I watched Simoun.

Helix - Black Rain (Ep.11) [TV Review]

Welcome back to yet another issue of 'Helix as it Happens!'
Again today I'll be working on this post as the episode airs.
Why? I've got Super XV Rugby this evening I want to watch, and so I need to get this down and out. Remember this is written as the episode play, so if you read while watching a rerun, that wouldd probably be the best way to enjoy my insanity.

I watched this a few weeks ago, but have just now taken time to review it.

Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey [TV Review]

"The Cosmos is all that is, or ever was, or ever will be." - Carl Sagan

I had been looking forward to the re-imagining of Cosmos since I first heard the rumors of it back in 2009 or 2010 or 2011. I love the original Cosmos, I've seen it many times, been inspired by it, and learned from it. Carl Sagan is a personal hero of mine.

Helix - Fushigi (Ep. 10) [TV Review]

Welcome to the ever continuing Helix review series.
Today was Day 10, Fushigi. Excellent title, Fushigi (不思議) is Japanese for 'wonder; miracle; strange; mystery; marvel; curiosity.' Thank you old school anime, Fushigi Yuugi, I learned something from your title.

I've finally gotten around to watching the whole series and so here is the review.

The Monuments Men [Movie Review]

Is it just me or are tag-lines getting stupider?
What the greatest art heist? The liberation of the art from the Nazis or the Nazi accumulation of art across Europe? Anyways, I owed a friend a movie, so we went and saw The Monuments Men.
